SAVORY STRING BEANS RECIPE

Savory String Beans

Fresh beans and fresh garlic are what make this side dish so good.
Why try? This recipe is so simple, why wouldn’t you try it?
Foodie Byte: This dish can be made ahead, cooled in ice, drained, and set aside in a covered container for reheating later.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes
Serves: 6
 

Ingredients

    • 1 tablespoon butter
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 2 or 3 small garlic cloves, peeled
    • 1½ pounds tender green beans
    • Salt and pepper to taste
     

Preparation

1. Melt butter and olive oil with the garlic

2. Cook green beans in a large pot of boiling water until just tender, about 3 to 5 minutes.

3. Drain and toss with garlic butter and seasonings.

4. Serve immediately.
