Forrest Edward Mars

(1904 - July 1, 1999)

Forrest Mars was the son of Frank C. Mars, and helped him develop the Milky Way. 

Forrest founded his own company in Europe and developed the Mars Bar, and also created M&Ms. Frank Mars merged his company with his father's in 1964, creating the world's largest candy manufacturer.

In 1942 he provided capital to to the company that became Uncle Ben's (Converted Rice), and soon gained full control of the company. It was then merged it into Mars, Inc., a closely held, family owned and highly secretive company. The family is one of the richest in the U.S.
