Chef Ching-He Huang

Ching has been with Cooking Channel since the network’s launch, hosting the series Chinese Food Made Easy, which originally aired in the UK on BBC2.

Born in Taiwan, Ching’s major food influences stem from the traditional cooking styles of her farming-community grandparents, who lived in the countryside of southern Taiwan.  Her family later moved to South Africa and eventually settled in the UK, where she would apply the basic philosophy of Chinese cuisine in cooking family meals – with the emphasis on balancing yin and yang through hot and cold ingredients.

A passionate food lover and self-taught cook, Ching eventually launched her own food company and became a television regular and the author of bestselling cookbooks “Chinese Food Made Easy,” “China Modern” and “Ching’s Fast Food.
