FILE, FILE GUMBO

(Powdered Sassafras leaves)

Filé, powdered sassafras leaves.
1 pound = 6 cups
1 cup = 2 2/3 weight ounces
1 weight ounce = 6 tablespoons
1 Tablespoon = 1/6 ounce

Store unopened in a cool dark place for up to 6 months. Flavor deteriorates once opened.
