Demeter Fragrance sells a Birthday Cake Cologne.

In 1989 the world's largest birthday cake to date was created for the centennial of the small city of Fort Payne, Alabama (pop 12,938). The cake weighed 128,238 lbs 8 oz and used 16,209 pounds of icing.

On May 15, 2005 Las Vegas helped celebrate its centennial by setting a new world record for the largest birthday cake. Assembled by volunteers, the cake weighed 130,000 pounds and used 40,000 pounds of icing.

Marilyn Monroe sang 'Happy Birthday' to U.S. President John F. Kennedy at Madison Square Garden on May 19, 1962.

Rich ancient Persians would celebrate their birthdays with a dinner of a whole baked ox, horse, camel or donkey.

$52,000 was spent on a birthday cake for Governor Charlie Crist's birthday party in 2008.
