Just Use Common Sense II

By Katharine Branham

After my last article I received several interesting comments and personal trials regarding the topic. The email that was most interesting, and worthy of sharing with you is about a young mother who had struggled with weight loss after having her baby.  It seems this dear woman had followed every healthy path in trying to lose the excess post-pregnancy weight. Her family’s groceries were now all organic and healthy alternatives. The meals changed considerably and the weight stayed on.

She enlisted the help of weight professionals and doctors to help figure out why the weight would not budge. After money spent and several visits behind her, she was diagnosed with sleep apnea. Shocked by this, she learned she was waking up every 22 minutes each night. The Doctor told her in order to lose weight a person needs plenty of sleep. When you do not get adequate sleep, it can stifle your weight loss and even cause you to gain weight.

So now this woman sleeps with a special sleep apnea mask; and while her rest has improved, her weight begun to drop. This was a rare story that needed to be shared – so that others, who may be suffering from the same disorder, can receive the treatment they need.
