CHEESE AND CORN CHOWDER
Preparation time: 6 hours Number of servings: 8 Number of 5 A Day servings: 2
Ingredients
1 cup water 1 cup onions, chopped 2 cups carrots, sliced 2 cups celery, sliced 1/2 tsp black pepper 15 oz can whole kernel corn, drained 15 oz can cream style corn 3 cups skim milk 8 oz reduced fat cheddar cheese, grated
Directions Combine water, onions, carrots, celery, and pepper in slow cooker.
Cover and cook on HIGH for 4-6 hours.
Add corn, milk, and cheese.
Heat on HIGH 1 hour and turn to LOW until ready to serve.
