Vegetables, Grapes and Puns

Vegetable Names

The names that vegetables give out are a gastronomic blemish.

Who ever saw a Brussels sprout that looked the slightest Flemish?

Chili with beans in chili sauce can get as hot as Mount Vesuvius.

And Swiss chard hasn't yodeled yet, nor are Lima beans Peruvious.

Seductive Grape

"You are very thoughtful," cooed the seductive grape

As she coyly removed her evening drape.

"But precautions, sir, are really needless

Because," she said sweetly, "I am seedless."

Odd Pun

Some puns are odd and here's the oddest.

I hope the girls are not too modest.

There's a spicy flavor to this quip.

On each one's plate you'll see a bacon strip.
