FRYING PAN
A frying pan is a round, or sometimes oval, shallow pan with a long handle used for frying or sautéing foods.
In the U.S., the term 'frying pan' and 'fry pan' were originally a regional name used mainly in New England, and the term 'skillet' was generally used in the South and Midland states.
A frying pan 10 feet in diameter that holds 800 chicken quarters was built for the Delmarva Chicken Festival in 1950.
