Committed to learning more and contributing to the future of organic agriculture in Nova Scotia? The NS Organic Forum is a great chance to gather and get inspired by your organic peers, while also providing guidance to the ACORN team as they set goals for 2016/17!


January 28, 2016  Decadence - Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
An evening of pure indulgence, Decadence pairs artisanal cheeses and succulent chocolates with wines, a beer and a cocktail from around the world. Cheese kicks off the night as raw cheeses are paired with wine, along with that cheese in a finished dish. The second half of the evening follows suit as raw chocolate and finished chocolate dishes are again paired with wine, showing the complex pairing abilities a single wine can achieve.  Students from the Nova Scotia Community College in the Pastry Arts and Culinary Arts Programs master these dishes under the direction of their Chef Instructors and are on hand to serve and explain the dishes as you indulge the night away.  7:00pm - 9:30pm.  World Trade and Convention Centre.  $50 + HST

February 1-28, 2016 - Dine Around: The Flavours of Nova Scotia
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
Every year, restaurants across the province showcase an array of Nova Scotia product and creativity at an attractive price during Dine Around. Running for the month of February, three course prix-fixe menus are offered at participating restaurants for the price of $25, $35, or $45 per dinner. Book directly with participating restaurants.

February 11, 2016  Imbibe: A Cocktail Event
Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
A collection of Nova Scotia's best mixologists brought together to create legendary cocktails for guests to imbibe! With 25 restaurant/bars plus the NSLC you're in for a night of delicious sample size cocktails - more than 40 to be exact - hors d'oeuvres and music make this event the perfect evening out!   7:00pm - 9:30pm.  $55 + HST.  *Must be 19 to attend event.

February 26, 2016  Rare and Fine Wine - Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
An evening for the true wine lover.  With a selection of over 40 wines, rated above 90 points and above by the world's major wine publications, these wines have never been available in Nova Scotia before. Quench your wine palate with world class wines from Champagne, Bordeaux, Burgundy, Napa Valley, Piedmonte, Veneto, and Tuscany, amongst many others.  All wines are poured in Riedel Glassware, accompanied by decadent hors d'oeuvres while overlooking the Halifax Harbour with live jazz music. Throughout the night Bishop's Cellar staff will be on hand to help you purchase any wines with which you fell in love.  Compass Room, Casino Nova Scotia.  7:00pm - 9:30pm.  Regular Ticket $119 + HST  *Must be 19 + to attend event.

March 10, 2016 - Savour Food & Wine Show - Halifax, NS, Canada
The Savour Food & Wine Show is Atlantic Canada's premier food and wine event, showcasing Nova Scotia's finest restaurants, wines and beverages. Operating now for ten years, it has attracted a wide and dedicated audience to make it 'the' food and wine event of the year!  Over 70 restaurants, wine and beverage merchants create delectable samples allowing you to taste the night away.  World Trade and Convention Centre.  $85 + HST (General Admission, 7pm).  $99 + HST (Premium, 6:30pm)  *Premium tickets holders will be granted 30 minutes early entrance to show, along with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine upon arrival!
