Home at 7, Dinner at 8

by Sophie Wright

Book Description
After a long day at work we all look for a quick fix for dinner and while it's easy to reach for a takeout menu or pop a frozen dinner in the microwave what we really want for ourselves and our family is a good home-cooked meal. Rising star food personality Sophie Wright's Home at 7, Dinner at 8 is a fantastic take on the express dinner with over 80 simple and satisfying recipes that can be on the table in under an hour, 30 minutes or even less, without sacrificing on quality or flavor. Sophie pools together her delightfully creative ideas to bring us meals for every occasion so we will soon be whipping up simple suppers for the family, exciting meals for special occasions or easy nibbles and cocktails for entertaining friends (even on a week night!).

With everyday dinners like Honey Roasted Pork Tenderloin with Pear and Parsnips that will become a midweek favorite; dollar-stretching dishes like Turkey Scaloppine with Sage Butter; and posh recipes such as Seared Duck Breast with Watercress, Cashews and Pomegranate to impress company. There are plenty of comforting dishes like Chicken, Leek and Bacon Pie and sweet-tooth desserts like Fried Ricotta and Raspberry Fritters that can be made in minutes - and will have everyone at the table wanting seconds.

Now making a delicious and balanced meal for family and friends in under an hour is an achievable goal with Sophie Wright's essential guide to stress-free cooking. With her time- saving cheat sheets, pantry advice, and helpful menu suggestions Sophie provides home cooks with cheaper, healthier, and more interesting alternatives to a can of soup or a container of General Tso's Chicken. So put away those take-out menus and venture back into the kitchen.
