March 2, 2008  5th Annual Weston Wine and Food Festival
Weston, Florida
Approximately 60 wine and food vendors will be on hand providing samples of their finest wines and most delicious dishes and more than 100 different wines will be poured. In addition there will be comfortable wine lounges where attendees can relax during the event and enjoy wine and food in a tented, furnished area.

March 15, 2008  Fairmont Fruitcake Follies
Fairmont, Minnesota (No Website)
The events include a fruitcake toss where men, women and children throw fruitcakes; Launch where fruitcakes are shot out of catapults and other machines; fruitcake poetry contest, and decorating contest with prizes for ugliest and most beautiful cakes.
