BUTTER BEANS
Butterbean (Phaseolus limensis). Another name for Lima Beans, also called Madagascar bean.
No one is really quite sure how/why/when Butter Beans and Butter Peas got their names; the presumption is because of the bean's creamy yellow color. The term 'Butter Bean' was first recorded in the early nineteenth century.
