RECIPES FOR PIES

PLAIN PIE CRUST
 
 
 Take 3 pints of flour, 1 pint of lard, and 1/2 teaspoonful of salt; rub lard and salt thoroughly through the flour, then take as much cold water as will make a soft dough, mix with as little kneading as possible. This will make crust for 6 pies.
