PICKLES
WATERMELON PICKLE
Boil the white rind of the melon until it is soft enough to run a broom straw through, then lay it on a plate to drain dry. Boil together 1 pint of vinegar and 2 pints of sugar. Drop into this the melon and spice to suit the taste.
