 Take 2 gallons of chopped cabbage, 1 gallon of chopped green tomatoes, 1 gallon of vinegar, 1 1/2 pounds of brown sugar, 1/2 pound of white mustard seed, 1 dozen onions, 1/4 ounce of tumeric, 1 ounce each of celery seed, cloves, and allspice, and 1 gill of salt.
