PICKLES
SPICED PLUMS Take 8 pounds of plums (we use Miners), 4 pounds of sugar, 2 quarts of good cider vinegar, 1 ounce of cloves, and 1 ounce of cinnamon. Boil the syrup thick, then put in the plums and boil until done.
