PICKLES
GREEN TOMATO PICKLES #3 Take only firm green tomatoes, slice thin and steam them until soft, drain off all the water and make a syrup as follows: To 3 pints of good vinegar take 1 pint of sugar, and boil 20 minutes, then add 1 ounce of cloves, 1 ounce of cinnamon bark, and 1/2 ounce of mustard seed. Pour over the tomatoes.
