PICKLES

MANGO RECIPE
 
 
 Cut fine the amount of cabbage needed, salt it and work well with the hands, press the water out, then mix in plenty of brown mustard seed. Fill the mangoes (which should be previously salted over night in scalding water). Place them in a Jar and take strong vinegar enough to cover them. For a gallon jar take a pint of sugar and dissolve in a little hot water, then add to the vinegar.
