DUMPLINGS & FRITTERS

APPLE DUMPLINGS RECIPE #2

Take 1 pint of sour milk, 1/2 teaspoonful of soda, a pinch of salt, flour to make a stiff dough, roll out, cut in squares; into each square put 1 small-sized quartered apple, pinch dough all around it tight, drop into a pot of boiling water, let boil 1/2 hour, take out, serve hot with sugar and cream.
