BOILED FRIED SWEET POTATOES
Pare and cut potatoes lengthwise in rather thin slices; place them in a skillet with water enough to cook them tender. Add a little salt, a tablespoonful of sugar, and enough butter or lard to fry them a nice brown when boiled dry.
