PICKLES

PICKLED STRING BEANS
 

 Boil beans in water to which has been added a little salt till just a trifle tender, and drain very carefully. Put into glass cans, and after filling them stand them upside down, to be sure to get all the water out. Then cover with hot vinegar flavored with whole spices. Seal up while hot.
