REAL MARSHMALLOWS
Soak 1/2 pound of gum Arabic in a pint of water. When dissolved, add 1 pound of powdered sugar. Stir in a double boiler. When thick and white try in water. If it is soft and not in hard lumps, then stir in gradually the whites of 2 eggs. Pour in cornstarch molds.
