RECIPES FOR THE SICK

CORN MEAL GRUEL
 

 Take 1/2 cup of corn meal moistened with cold water; then stir into 1 quart of boiling water and let the boiling continue for 30 minutes or 1 hour; season with salt and butter. Cinnamon or nutmeg may be added if liked.
