RECIPES FOR THE SICK

EGGNOG #1

To 1/2 glass of milk add the yolk of 1 fresh egg; beat well together, sweeten and flavor to taste and then stir through the mixture the white of the egg beaten to a stiff froth. The result will be a pleasant and nourishing food for invalids. To add to its strengthening qualities, 2 teaspoonfuls of wine or brandy may be added if desired.
