CAKES AND COOKIES
DRIED APPLE FRUIT CAKE Soak 3 cups of dried apples over night, in the morning chop them, put on the stove with 3 cups of molasses, stew almost soft; add 1 cupful of raisins and stew a few minutes: when cold, add 3 cups of flour, 1 cup of butter, 3 eggs and 1 teaspoonful of soda, spice to taste. Bake in a steady oven.
