CAKES AND COOKIES
POUND CAKE
Take 1 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of butter, 1 1/2 cups of flour, 4 eggs, the whites and yolks beaten separately. Beat them together for 10 minutes, and add 1/2 teaspoonful of baking powder.
