ALICE MERRITT: Now I'm going to talk to you about healthy finger foods. It can be really challenging to think about healthy things to serve your guests when you have dinner parties or get together. Some healthy food choices for finger foods are things like fruit kebabs or individual fruits that you can dip in low fat or fat free cool whip.
 Also, veggie trays are a great choice, choosing low fat dips like light ranch or other low fat onion dips, things like that. Hummus and whole wheat pita is also a quick, easy thing to dip, baked chips in salsa, celery with peanut butter. You can also make little individual sandwiches on whole wheat bread and use like a low fat egg salad or low fat tuna salad.
Hummus also makes a great vegetarian option for finger foods. Some important things to remember when you're serving your guests finger foods or when you're going to dinner parties, always make sure that you eat a little snack ahead of time. This helps keep you from overeating on a lot of the hors d'oeuvres before you even get to the main courses. Other things to do, make sure you offer your guests a variety of finger foods, some fruits, some vegetables, some meat sources, some vegetarian options. And these are great things to have for finger foods.
