SEARED TUNA WITH AVOCADO & KIWI SALSA

The 5-A-Day Menu Planner
by Susannah Blake
Serves 4

Ingredients

• 4 tuna steaks
• oil, for brushing
• salt and freshly ground black pepper

FOR THE SALSA
• 2 cups pitted and finely diced avocados
• 2 cups diced kiwifruit
• small handful cilantro leaves, chopped
• juice of 1/2-1 lime

Directions
To make the salsa, combine the avocados, kiwifruit, and cilantro and season with salt and pepper.

Squeeze the lime juice over, toss well, and set aside.

Brush the tuna steaks with oil and season with salt and pepper.

Heat a nonstick skillet until hot, add the fish, and sear 1 to 2 minutes on each side until cooked but still pink in the center.

Serve with the salsa.
