HOME & GARDEN SHOW
MINNEAPOLIS MINNESOTA

Home & Garden Show #1-2011_02_28

Late winter is the perfect time to "idea shop" at a home and garden show. Found in most major cities, the expos offer visitors a chance to speak with experts and compare thousands of products and services related to building, remodeling, outdoor living, and landscaping. We hadn't attended a show in ages and decided to visit the Minneapolis Home and Garden Show. A large area of the floor was covered with colorful displays of gardens with fragrant blooming flowers, ponds, waterfalls and even small trees. The gardens, which were created by several of the area's top landscaping companies, were the focal point of the show. I enjoyed the garden marketplace with outdoor furnishings, art and tools and was able to do a little early seed shopping. Another find was a bud vase for the dashboard of my car. I also attended a couple of seminars put on by local Master Gardeners. There were a few vinyl siding companies, as we had remembered from the past, but many of the products were eco-friendly and we were interested in learning about the latest technologies at this event.
