 The famous food street with many tasty Dakgalbi restaurants is located right behind Myeong-dong Street, in Seoul's hip shopping district, Myeong-dong. Dakgalbi is sizzling spicy chicken", or "hot plate chicken". But actual translation dak=chicken and galbi=ribs, probably cos you use the deboned breast of chicken. It is stirfried in a large wok and the smokeyness and delicious smells creates the whole experience. Apart from chicken you fry sweet potato sticks, cabbage strips, and onions. You can eat it on its own then or wrapped in lettuce / bay leaves, adding fresh garlic, red beanpaste and any other condiments - then straight into your mouth
