SWEET HEART RING

Sweet Heart Ring from RhodesBread on Vimeo.

Keep your sweet hearts sweet by serving them our delicious Sweet Heart Ring. Servings: 7
Skills: Intermediate
Prep Time: 30 min (not including thaw time)
Bake Time: 25 min
Ingredients

12 Rhodes™ Dinner Rolls or 1 Loaf Rhodes™ Bread Dough, thawed and risen
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup chopped almonds
3 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons softened butter
8 ounces crushed pineapple, well drained

Icing:
1 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons drained pineapple juice
Instructions

Spray counter lightly with non-stick cooking spray. Roll combined rolls or loaf into a 16x8-inch rectangle. Cover with plastic wrap and let rest about 10 minutes. Combine remaining ingredients and mix well. Remove plastic wrap and spread filling evenly over dough. Roll up tightly beginning with a 14-inch side. Place in a ring, seam side down on a sprayed pizza pan or baking sheet and pinch ends together. Cut dough into fourteen 1-inch sections, cutting from edge of circle to within 1/2 inch of center. Turn two cut sections on their sides in opposite directions to form a heart. Repeat until you have a circle of 7 hearts. Place a sprayed oven safe custard cup in the center of ring to help it hold its shape. Cover with sprayed plastic wrap and let rise 30- 45 minutes. Remove wrap and bake at 350°F 20-25 minutes. Remove from baking sheet to cooling rack. Combine icing ingredients and drizzle over cooled ring.
