Prepare tomatoes as to cook; put in a saucepan, dredge with flour, add butter and sugar to taste; put in the oven and bake.

Baked Tomatoes #2
Slice 1 layer of ripe tomatoes in a dish, put over it one layer of bread, a pinch of salt, a little pepper, 1 tablespoonful of sugar, 1 teaspoonful of butter; continue until the dish is full. Bake to a light brown. Serve while warm.
