SHORTCAKES AND PUDDINGS
RICE PUDDING Take 1 cup of rice, wash and scald, but do not boil; let stand 1/2 hour, drain, then add l cup of sugar, 1 cup of raisins, l quart of sweet milk; flavor with nutmeg. Bake in oven until rice is done.
