SHORTCAKES AND PUDDINGS

DELICIOUS PUDDING
 
 
 Take a piece of light bread dough the size of a small bowl, cut it up fine in a pan; add 1 cup of brown sugar, 1 tablespoonful of cinnamon, 1 cup of currants or raisins, 1/2 cup of sour milk, 1 teaspoonful of soda, 2 or 3 eggs well beaten; mix into a smooth batter and steam 4 hours in a buttered dish.
