CRANBERRY SAUCE # 3, 4 Cranberry Sauce #3 Pick and wash 1 quart of cranberries; put in the preserving kettle with 1/2 pint of water; add a pint of sugar on top of berries; set on the fire and stew about 1/2 hour, stirring frequently. They will need no straining and will preserve their rich color cooked in this way.

Cranberry Sauce #4 Put 2 cupfuls of sugar and 2 of water in a kettle, and when boiling' add 1 quart of cranberries, and 3 apples. Boil until tender. This is the best recipe for cooking cranberries I have found.
