PRESERVING AND CANNING
TOMATO BUTTER WITH APPLES
Steam ripe tomatoes and rub them through a sieve. Stew apples and treat them the same way. Thicken the tomatoes with the stewed apples and sweeten to taste. Cook until quite thick. Spices may be added if desired.
