PRESERVING AND CANNING

CANNING CUCUMBERS

Wash the cucumbers, place in a kettle and cover with cider vinegar. Add 3 large tablespoonfuls of sugar, mixed spices, peppers, and to each can of cucumbers add 8 onion sets. Heat gradually till hot through. Fill the cans with cucumbers, then heat the vinegar to a boil and fill up the can. Seal at once.
