PRESERVING AND CANNING

CANNED STRAWBERRIES #2

Take 1 cupful of granulated sugar with enough water to dissolve it. Let it come to a boil, then add 3 pints of strawberries. Boil 2 minutes, then add 1 teaspoonful of cornstarch dissolved in water. This will fill a 1-quart jar. If there is any juice left, use it to dissolve the sugar for the next 3 pints of berries, instead of adding water.

Sister Emma Amick, Idaville, Ind.
