PRESERVING AND CANNING

APPLE BUTTER

Take 12 gallons of cider, 1 bushel of apple snitz, and 20 pounds of sugar. Put the apples in as soon as the cider has been skimmed, and boil 3 hours. This recipe has proved successful and produces a larger quantity and better quality than when made the old way.
