CAKES AND COOKIES

APPLE BUTTER CAKE
 
 
 Cream together 1 cup sugar, 1/2 cup butter and 4 eggs well beaten. Then add 4 tablespoonfuls sour milk, 1 tea­spoonful soda, 1 teaspoonful each of ground cinnamon and cloves. Add 2 cups of flour. Beat this well together. Then add 1 cup of good apple butter. To be baked as layer cake.
