CAKES AND COOKIES

SOLID CHOCOLATE CAKE
 
 
 Take 2 cups of brown sugar, 1/2 cup of butter, 1 cup of sour milk or black coffee, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoonful of soda dissolved in 1/2 cup of hot water, 1/3 cake of grated chocolate, and 2 heaping cups of flour.
