BREAKFAST DISHES

WHOLESOME TOAST

Save all your bread crumbs, broken bits of bread and dry crusts. Put them on pie tins in a very moderate oven until thoroughly dried and a golden brown. Put all in a pan and crush fine with a wooden potato masher. Put 4 heaping tea-spoonfuls in a dessert dish, cover with hot milk in which a little salt has been sprinkled. It may be eaten with sugar, but is more wholesome without. If you do not wish to use at once, put in a bag in a dry place until wanted. As it contains no moisture, it will keep indefinitely. This makes a pleasant change from oatmeal and other cereals.

Sister Adaline H. Beery, Huntingdon, Pa.
