St. Regis Hotel, New York

Built in 1904 by the world's wealthiest man, John Jacob Astor IV, the St. Regis stands as a lasting tribute to his vision of bringing the style and comforts of the "grand hotel" from Europe, coupled with innovations unique to America. The St. Regis is the most highly acclaimed luxury property in North America.

The St. Regis New York is regarded as one of the finest addresses in the world. The hotel's majestic Beaux Arts exterior, elegant public spaces, exquisitely designed guest rooms and suites and unparalleled, anticipatory service have preserved its legendary status for 100 years. Ideally located in the heart of Manhattan at the corner of Fifth Avenue and 55th Street, The St. Regis Hotel, New York marked its 100th anniversary with a Centennial Renovation by noted designers Sills + Huniford.

st regis hotelThe hotel's famous King Cole Bar & Lounge, one of the city's most stately cocktail lounges, continues to draw the city's elite. Maxfield Parrish's iconographic "Old King Cole" mural is a New York "must see" and is currently undergoing the first major cleaning and restoration effort in fifty years. Painted in 1906, the King has held court to the city's elite and powerful from his throne in the mahogany paneled bar since the 1930's.

The eighth and ninth floors of the legendary St. Regis Hotel house the luxurious St. Regis Residences and Residence Club. Offering both fractional and whole ownerships, the St. Regis New York opened with twenty-two studios, one- or two-bedroom suites in October 2006.
